The project renovates and expands the Charles River campus’ student health services facilities and its behavioral health clinic, uniting two otherwise separate floors into a single entity with a new open connecting stair. A specific challenge involves upgrading an existing service elevator to be used for passengers. Achieving this will streamline the circulation paths and afford students and visitors improved accessibility to the areas to be renovated. Taking student experience, staff safety, and academic schedules into account, work was carefully phased to minimize disruptions to operations.
