Since its opening in 1993, the Emergency Center at Cape Cod Hospital has had a steady increase in patient volumes and has become one of the busiest emergency departments in New England. isgenuity developed a project in conjunction with Cape Cod Healthcare to maintain ongoing operations while increasing the size of the department to offer newer and more flexible space. The renovation and expansion provides the most accessible and modern amenities possible to meet current needs and provide for seasonal fluctuations. The expansion resulted in 52 state-of-the-art treatment spaces, a new radiology suite dedicated to emergency patients and a welcoming new reception and triage entrance. The final project provides a much-improved patient experience, updated technologies and enhanced provider efficiency.
