The Micheli Center for the Children’s Sports Medicine Foundation is a state-of-the-art, nationally-focused center for injury prevention among junior athletes. It provides education and evaluation to promote injury-free exercise and offers some of the nation’s best health-and-wellness training programs. 

We aimed to design a facility that embodies this mission. We selected graphics, interior elements, and finishes to reflect both the quality of the programs offered and the athletic focus of the center. The lobby ceiling, for example, includes material from a basketball court both to enhance the aesthetic of the facility and to recall the athletic activities of its visitors.

We provided comprehensive services for this project, including traditional planning, A/E services, and corporate branding. The result is a facility with a unique and characteristic aesthetic that provides thousands of young athletes with the means to protect themselves from future injuries.
